Account Manager

Pay Range: $70-80k with bonus eligibility after 1 year of employment 

Total Grounds is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for our valued maintenance clients throughout both the landscape and snow seasons. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service, ensuring contract compliance, maintaining high property standards, and identifying opportunities for additional work. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and hands-on experience in the landscape industry. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational, communication skills, along with a general understanding of the landscape industry.

Key Responsibilities:​​​

​

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Total Grounds and assigned clients.

  • Conduct routine site visits and client meetings to assess service quality and client satisfaction.

  • Communicate upcoming service schedules and updates, including changes due to weather or operational needs.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, concerns and requests.

Quality Assurance & Property Oversight:

  • Perform regular property inspections to ensure all contracted work meets or exceeds company standards. 

  • Report service or quality issues to appropriate managers and follow up to ensure timely resolution.

  • Assist and support Division Manager with training of production staff to reinforce quality standards.

Contract & Account Management:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of service contracts for assigned accounts.

  • Monitor service delivery against contract specifications and proactively address discrepancies. 

  • Review and update contract renewals based on service history, site conditions and scope changes.

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of renewal proposals.

Sales & Estimating:

  • Identify non-contracted enhancement opportunities during site visits.

  • Prepare and present estimates and proposals for additional services to clients.

  • Assist Division Manager and/or Field Manager with kick off meetings for new projects once sold.

Billing and Payment Coordination:

  • Track and review client payment statuses.

  • Communicate with clients regarding overdue invoices and assist in resolving payment issues.

  • Coordinate with the bookkeeper and/or Division Manager  to support timely and accurate billing.

​

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in landscape services, sales or client relations. 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.

  • Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with a consultative sales approach.

  • Knowledge of horticulture / landscape services, snow removal, and/or maintenance.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace; experience with Aspire or similar CRM/estimating tools.

  • Valid driver’s license.
